I've always been more of a storyteller, but years of commercial work had starved me of the coincidences and providence needed for the experiences I craved. Shereen and I have been social media friends for a very long time. She’s my plug when it comes to all things meme and anime. Eventually, she told me about how she and her husband, Mark, had moved to Fukuoka to enrol in a Japanese language college. It was a milestone experience they wanted for their marriage. It was also a sign for me — so I took that chance to meet my internet friends for the first time and I wanted to gift them with some beautiful memories of their experience living in Fukuoka.
