I close my eyes and I’m there. The wind in my face and the salt in the air. The golden memories coming together. I am conjuror of the memories you think of before you sleep. The days will be long and the years will be short but may the photographs always visit you in your dreams. That is what Jeju will be when I think of my time with Valerie and Jonathan. We drove and walked a lot. But we exchanged plenty of life stories too. And that’s honestly the best part about what I do — the nature of my work doesn’t allow many friends, it’s given me a chance to connect with people on a personal level. My inspiration is driven by their personality and energy, and I’m always grateful for small pleasure of knowing I’ve made new friends.
